In an exciting move for the sport, Greensboro College in Greensboro, North Carolina, has announced that they are starting a Division III wrestling team. Greensboro College To Add Wrestling As Varsity Sport
GREENSBORO, NC – Greensboro College will add wrestling as a varsity sport beginning in the 2015-2016 academic year, Pride Director of Athletics Bryan Galuski announced on Friday.
Wrestling is among the fastest-growing intercollegiate sports at the NCAA Division III level. Currently, 100 Division III institutions offer wrestling as a varsity sport, including fellow USA South Conference members Huntingdon College and Ferrum College.
Greensboro College will launch an immediate search to hire a head wrestling coach.

Greensboro College, an NCAA Division III institution and member of the USA South Athletic Conference, is seeking to fill the position of Head Wrestling Coach. This is a full-time, 10-month position reporting to the Director of Athletics. Individual is responsible for all phases of the wrestling program in accordance with NCAA Division III rules and philosophies. This includes, but is not limited to, recruitment of qualified student-athletes, scheduling, player development, and budget management. Collegiate playing and coaching experience is preferred but not required. The candidate must have a bachelor’s degree (masters preferred).
