Season outlook:
This will be the youngest team in over a decade for La Crosse. Izzy Balsiger is the only returning qualifier after his 4th place finish a year ago and one of just three returning starters along with Einerson and Twohey. Just two seniors are on the roster in RJ Dilcher and Dylan Shaffer, and both will compete for starting spots. With as many as 8 freshmen and sophomores in the lineup, it will be a bit of a rebuilding year, but the talent is there for a good season this year and a solid future. Losing three All-Americans will hurt, but a freshman class featuring 9 state placewinners will give the team a lot to look forward to. Three transfers will bring some needed experience as well.
