Season outlook:
Messiah looks to continue to improve and should build nicely on a season that included winning the Empire Conference and finishing 13th at the NCAA tournament. 9 of 10 starters from last year are back, but there will be plenty of competition at almost every weight. Josh Thomson led the team with an outstanding freshman campaign, and he will return in search of his first national title. All-American Ben Kramer and NCAA qualifier Rico Plummer add to what could potentially be a formidable upper middle weight block for the Falcons. Kaleb Loht was slowed by injury at the end of last season, but was consistently in the d3wrestle.com top ten when he was healthy. If 2x NY state champ Lucas Malmberg can adjust to 125 lbs., he could be one to watch among a good freshman class.
