Calhoun had an outstanding collegiate career at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, earning bids to the national tournament in both 2007 and 2008. He earned All-Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference accolades in three of his four seasons, including winning the 125-pound title in 2007. Calhoun concluded his career by helping the Pointers finish 10th at the 2008 NCAA Championships.

Although Calhoun graduated from UWSP in 2009, his competitive career has continued. He reached University Level All-American status in Greco-Roman wrestling and wrestled in the World Team Trials in June 2013 for a spot on the World Team.

Calhoun brings nearly a decade of wrestling coaching experience to the Mules. For the past two years, he was a graduate assistant coach at Cortland State University, helping the Red Dragons to top-10 national finishes both years.
The year prior to that, Calhoun was an assistant coach at one of Muhlenberg’s Centennial Conference rivals, Gettysburg. He served as a volunteer assistant coach at Stevens Point from 2008 to 2010.

He has been a coach and board member of the Modern Day Gladiators wrestling club since 2011.

Calhoun, who earned his USA Wrestling Bronze Coach’s Certification in 2011, is a member of the National Wrestling Coaches Association and was director of the 2013 Empire Collegiate Wrestling Conference tournament.
