Season outlook:
Not only do the Yellow Jackets bring back nine starters from last season, but Waynesburg is also expecting some old familiar faces to be back on the mat in 2012. Leading this year’s team are a pair of three-year starters in seniors Alex Crown and Cody Catalina. Barring injury, Crown (84-19) should cruise past 100 career victories and could make a run at the program’s career victory record. The Carlisle native has spent his first three seasons in Waynesburg at 125 pounds, and will look to return to that weight after likely beginning the season at a higher class. Also back is 2011 qualifier Brandon Fedorka at 285, though he will be pushed by Marty Kisla. The team is very deep and looking to return to the NCAA Championships in 2013 after a year away.
