Season outlook:
Entering his 8th season as the only coach in school history, Dan Callahan finally had the opportunity to coach an All-American, as Elias Larson broke through and finished third at 157 a year ago. Larson returns as one of the favorites at that weight as a junior. While he is the only returning qualifier for Trine, George Markou and Ryan Pieper were both runners-up in the Midwest region in 2011, just missing out on making the trip to La Crosse. The teams strength is through the middle weights up to Pieper at 184. They will be young elsewhere, but have a number of Indiana state placewinners joining the team and perhaps stepping into the lineup right away. With Larson leading the way, the Thunder have high hopes for a solid year as they embark on a tough scheduled that includes tournament stops at Wartburg, Wheaton, and the Budd Whitehill Duals.
