Seven starters from 2009 and two other 2008 Empire placewinners are back for Cortland in 2009-2010.  The Red Dragons also bring back several wrestlers who have won twenty matches in a season before.  They have a solid recruiting class with good recruits coming in throughout the line-up.  There are a number of weight classes where the competition for starting spots should be fierce, and the lineup should be very experienced.  Heavyweight Joe Murphy is the lone returning 2009 NCAA qualifier, but Dave Colagiovanni is a 2x previous qualifier while Perez, Lemke, and Sottile all have national experience at the junior college level.  Between the experienced returners and incoming talent, Cortland will look the challenge Ithaca for the Empire title in 2010.
